Does my client need an account to pay?
No. They click Pay this invoice online, pay by card on Stripe's secure checkout, and that's it. Card payment works wherever Stripe Connect operates.
What does BillingHub take from my payments?
Nothing. Payments go through your own Stripe account. You pay Stripe's standard card fee; we take no cut.
What happens after my 3 free invoices?
Buy a pack — 25 invoices for $25. One-time packs never renew and credits never expire. With no credits you can still write drafts, estimates and quotes. There's also a yearly plan, which is a subscription and renews until you cancel it.
Why pay when Wave, Square and Zoho are free?
They are good products. Here is what free costs, as of August 2026:
- Wave alternative is free, or $19 a month for Pro. The Wave logo prints on your invoice. Card fees are 2.9% + $0.60 — $70.20 on a $2,400 invoice.
- Square Invoices alternative is free, plus 3.3% + 30¢ per card payment. Square supports no multi-currency at all — it charges in your own country’s currency and converts nothing.
- Zoho Invoice alternative is free. Base currency only, and Zoho’s own branding on every invoice.
If you bill in one currency and don't mind another company's logo on your document, use the free one. BillingHub is for everyone else.
Can I change an invoice after it's issued?
No. An issued invoice is locked and its credit is spent. Check it in preview before you issue — drafts cost nothing.

BillingHub is operated by Evax LLC, a Wyoming company registered in January 2025. Support email is answered by the person who writes the code.
