What Zoho Invoice is good at
It's full-featured for a free tool: multiple templates, recurring invoices, client statements and a real API, all without a subscription. For a business that bills domestically in one currency, there's very little reason to pay for anything else.
Where it stops
- Zoho's own help pages say the free plan invoices only in your base currency — a client who pays in a different currency isn't something the free plan handles.
- Zoho's own branding stays on every invoice from a free account; by Zoho's own account, removing it means moving up to Zoho Billing, a different product with its own plan.
- Support on the free tier is limited, and there's no built-in proposal or quote workflow — that lives in the same upgrade path as multi-currency.
What we do differently
BillingHub invoices in 156 currencies on every plan, carries no branding but your own on any invoice, and estimates and quotes never spend a credit — they aren't a separate product to move to.
When to choose Zoho Invoice over us
If every client you bill pays in your own currency and Zoho's name on the document doesn't bother you, the free plan is genuinely good software and there's no reason to pay us instead. We're for the business Zoho's own help pages describe as needing to upgrade.
Common questions
- Can I invoice a client who pays in a different currency?
- Yes — any of 156 currencies, on every plan, with no separate upgrade needed.
- Does BillingHub put its own branding on my invoice?
- No. Nothing but your own business appears on an issued invoice.
