An Invoice Home alternative you pay for per invoice

Invoice Home is a long-running, no-frills invoicing site with a hundred templates and a flat monthly plan that removes every limit. This page is about the shape of that price — a fee every month, and a free plan measured in money rather than invoices — and about the businesses for whom it is still the better deal.

What Invoice Home is good at

It does the basics without ceremony: pick a template, add a logo, send the invoice with a payment link, and invoices paid online through PayPal or Stripe mark themselves paid. The paid plan has no cap on invoices, clients or emails, and for a business that bills every week the flat fee is simple to budget.

Where it stops

  • The paid plan is a subscription. It renews in the month you send forty invoices and in the month you send none.
  • The free plan is capped by the amount you bill over the past 30 days, not by the number of invoices — so a single larger job, not a busy month, is what ends it.
  • The free generator asks for an email before it will print or download an invoice, and continuing creates an account.

What we do differently

BillingHub charges per invoice issued, from credits that never expire, so a quiet month costs nothing and there is no subscription to remember to cancel unless you choose the annual plan. Estimates and quotes never spend a credit, and the free invoice generator downloads a PDF with no email and no account. Card payments go into your own Stripe account through a Pay button on the invoice.

When to choose Invoice Home over us

If you send invoices every week, month after month, a flat monthly fee works out cheaper per invoice than paying for each one — set the prices in the table on this page against the number of invoices you send in a typical month. If your clients like to pay by PayPal, Invoice Home connects it and we do not. We are the better fit when your invoicing comes in bursts, when you send more estimates than invoices, or when a month without work should cost nothing.

Make an invoice without an account

Common questions

Is there a monthly fee?
Not on the invoice packs. You pay once for a pack of credits, a credit is spent when an invoice is issued, and unused credits never expire. The annual plan is the one subscription, and it says so.
Do I need an account to make a free invoice?
No. The free generator builds and downloads the PDF with no email and no account. An account is for saving, sending and getting paid.
Is Invoice Home cheaper?
For steady, high volume, often yes — a flat fee spread over many invoices a month is hard to beat. For irregular months it is the other way round, because a month with no invoices still costs a month's fee.
