What QuickBooks Online is good at
It's full double-entry accounting — a general ledger, bank reconciliation, payroll and tax categorization that an invoicing tool alone doesn't attempt. For a business that already needs a CPA-ready set of books, QuickBooks is a serious, capable choice, and this page isn't arguing otherwise.
Where it stops
- Essentials, Plus and Advanced all went up again on 1 August 2026 — the third increase in two years, with no plan that opts out of the next one.
- Two-year change by plan: Essentials up 31%, Plus up 41%, Advanced up 45% — while Simple Start, the one plan with no multicurrency, moved the least.
- The bill is due every month whether an invoice goes out that month or not, at whatever the new number happens to be by then.
When to choose QuickBooks over us
If you need a general ledger, payroll and CPA-ready books under one login, and the yearly increase doesn't bother you, QuickBooks is the more complete tool — the subscription buys real accounting software beyond invoicing. Our own price for a pack of invoices is fixed, and no subscription is required to buy it.
Common questions
- Will BillingHub's price go up on me the way QuickBooks did?
- No — the 25-invoice pack quoted on this page is priced once, with no scheduled increase, and no subscription is required to buy it.
