Masonry Invoice Template
Brick and block by the unit, mortar, scaffold hire and labour. Free PDF, no account.
Masonry is quoted by the square foot and paid for in units the customer can count on the wall afterwards. Brick, block and stone belong on the invoice by quantity and type, because a homeowner who can count the courses will, and because a repair a year later starts by asking what was laid.

What to put on a masonry invoice
- The wall or structure, with its dimensions or square footage
- Brick, block or stone by type and unit count
- Mortar type — the mix matters on repointing and on historic work
- Scaffolding or lift hire, at cost and by the day
- Labour separately from materials, since the two are approved differently
- Whether the work is structural, which usually requires a permit and an inspection
Questions
Why put the mortar mix on an invoice?
Because it is the one thing a later repair has to match, and on older buildings the wrong mix does real damage — a hard modern mortar against soft historic brick spalls the brick rather than the joint. Naming it turns the invoice into the record the next mason needs.
Should scaffolding be billed separately?
Yes, by the day and at cost. It is a hire cost that runs whether or not anyone is laying brick, and rolled into a labour rate it makes the labour look far more expensive than it is.
