Tile Installation Invoice Template
Square footage, waterproofing, setting material, grout and trim. Free PDF, no account.
Tile is bought by the square foot and fails at the substrate. Waterproofing, backer board and the setting material are invisible in the finished room and are most of what separates a shower that lasts twenty years from one that leaks in three — so they are the lines that need naming rather than absorbing.

What to put on a tile installation invoice
- The area in square feet, by room and surface
- Substrate preparation: backer board, levelling, removal of the old surface
- Waterproofing membrane in wet areas, named by system
- Setting material and grout by type — epoxy grout is not cement grout
- Trim, bullnose and Schluter profiles, counted by the linear foot
- Any pattern work — herringbone, mosaic, large format — which is not flat-rate labour
Questions
Why itemise waterproofing?
Because it is the part of a shower nobody can see and everybody depends on. A named membrane system on the invoice is what a homeowner shows a warranty claim or a buyer's inspector; "tile installation" alone proves nothing was done at all.
Should pattern work cost more?
It usually does — a herringbone or a large-format layout carries more cuts, more waste and more setting time than a straight lay. Bill it as its own line so the square-foot rate stays comparable to the quotes the customer is holding.
About the free invoice generator
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. There is no fee, no trial period and no watermark on the PDF. Nothing on this page requires a credit card.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Fill in the form and download the PDF directly — there is no sign-up and no login for this tool.
What file do I get?
A standard PDF, ready to attach to an email or print.
Can I add my own logo and bank details?
Yes. The seller section accepts a logo image and bank transfer details, which are printed on the invoice so your client knows how to pay you.
Is my data stored anywhere?
Nothing leaves your browser except when you download a PDF or save the invoice to an account. A draft is kept locally in your browser so it's still here if you come back, but there is no account behind this page and nothing is ever sent to our servers until you choose to.
Can I use this for any currency or country?
Yes. Choose any currency and country for either party — the totals and formatting follow your selection.
