Masonry Quote Template
Brick and block by the unit, mortar type, footing and scaffold. Free PDF, no sign-up.
Brick and block are counted, not estimated: a wall of a known length and height needs a known number of units and a known number of mason-days. That is why masonry quotes. What the number cannot see is the ground it is standing on, so the honest fixed price names the footing it assumed and says what happens if the first dig disagrees.

What this quote commits you to
- How long it stands
- 30 days, and only while the yard holds the brick lot named below; a discontinued face brick is quoted again with the nearest match identified.
- What it does not cover
- Structural engineering, excavation deeper than the stated footing, lintels supplied by others, and cleaning of adjoining finishes.
- What would change the price
- Ground conditions found on the first dig — fill, water standing in the trench, or a footing that has to step down to reach bearing.
- How the client accepts it
- Sign and return the quote with your chosen brick sample initialled; the sample rather than the name is what we build to.

What to put on a masonry quote
- Unit count by type — face brick, CMU, cap — with the coursing they are laid to
- The mortar type by letter (N, S, M), because the spec cares and the client does not know
- The brick sample or lot number the price was built to
- Footing depth and width the price assumes, and who is doing the excavation
- Scaffold: erected by you, hired in, or supplied by the general contractor
- Reinforcement, ties and flashing at the base of the wall
- Clean-down and the acid wash at the end, which is a day nobody remembers to price
Questions
Why does the quote name a brick sample rather than a brick name?
Because a name is not a colour. Face brick varies by run, and a sample the client has initialled is the thing you both agreed the wall would look like — the name alone will not settle a disagreement about a blend that came in redder than the display board.
Should the footing be in the same quote as the wall?
Only if you are digging it. If somebody else is, put the footing dimension you are relying on into the quote as a condition, because a wall built on a footing that is short is your problem the moment you lay the first course.
How do you handle a repointing job you cannot fully see?
Quote the elevation you have surveyed and price the rest as a rate per square foot to be measured on completion. A fixed price for a wall you have only seen from the ground is a guess wearing a quote's clothes.
About the free quote generator
Is this quote generator really free?
Yes. There is no fee, no trial period and no watermark on the PDF. Nothing on this page requires a credit card.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price you are offering to hold, and it is binding on you once the client accepts it. An estimate is your best projection of the cost and can move if the job does. If the scope is not settled yet, send an estimate instead.
Is a quote legally binding?
Once a client accepts it within the period it stands, a quote generally forms a contract at that price — the details depend on your jurisdiction and on what the document itself says. That is why the price, the scope and the exclusions all belong in writing, and why the document prints the date the offer expires.
How long should a quote be valid until?
Thirty days is the common default, and two weeks is sensible when materials prices are moving. Whatever you choose, state it on the quote: an offer with no expiry is an offer you have made for ever.
Can I raise the price after the client accepts?
Not unilaterally, which is the point of quoting rather than estimating. What you can do is price the variations the client asks for afterwards, provided the quote said what was and was not included.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Fill in the form and download the PDF directly — there is no sign-up and no login for this tool.
Can the client accept the quote online?
Not from a downloaded PDF. Saving the quote to an account gives it a link the client opens and answers on, and the acceptance is recorded against the document rather than living in an email thread.
Can I use this for any currency or country?
Yes. Choose any currency and country for either party — the totals and formatting follow your selection.
