Graphic Design Quote Template
Concepts, revision rounds, final file formats and usage rights. Free PDF, no sign-up.
Design work is quotable when it is described as a list of things that will exist at the end: three concepts, two revision rounds, a logo suite in five file formats. Priced by the hour, the same job is unquotable, because nobody can say how many hours taste takes. The revision round is the unit that makes a fixed price survive an opinionated client — and it only works if the quote says how many are included and what a further one costs.

What this quote commits you to
- How long it stands
- 30 days, held at the deliverable list below rather than at a rate for design time in general.
- What it does not cover
- Stock photography and font licences, printing and production management, and changes requested after the final files are handed over.
- What would change the price
- A revision round beyond the two included, or a new direction requested after a concept has been selected and developed.
- How the client accepts it
- Accept by signing and returning the brief with the quote; first concepts are presented ten working days from the signed brief.

What to put on a graphic design quote
- Concepts by count, and how many are developed after the first presentation
- Revision rounds included, and the price of one beyond them
- Final deliverables by file format — vector source, web, print-ready
- Usage rights granted: what the client may use the work for, and where
- Whether the source files are handed over or licensed
- Stock imagery and font licences, and whose name they are bought in
- The brief the concepts will be judged against, attached rather than remembered
Questions
How many revision rounds should a design quote include?
Two, in most cases, with a stated price for a third. The number matters less than its presence: an unbounded 'revisions until happy' turns a fixed price into an hourly job the designer is not being paid for.
Who buys the fonts?
The client, in their own name, and the quote should say so. A commercial font licence follows the entity using it, and a designer who buys it on their account has given the client an asset they cannot legally keep using.
Should usage rights be on a design quote?
Yes, because they are most of what is being sold. A logo licensed for one brand in one market is a different product from an unlimited assignment, and pricing them the same is how designers give away the expensive one by accident.
