Graphic Design Invoice Template
Concepts, revision rounds, artwork handover and rights — billed the way designers bill. Free PDF, no account.
Design work is bought as an outcome and delivered as a process, and the invoice is usually the first document that shows the client what the process contained. Revision rounds in particular need to be visible: they are what separates a project that stayed in scope from one that did not, and a client cannot be asked to respect a limit they never saw counted.

What to put on a graphic design invoice
- The project name, so the invoice matches the proposal it came from
- Concepts and revision rounds counted, not merged into 'design work'
- Any rounds beyond the agreed number, priced separately
- Artwork handover — the formats delivered and whether source files are included
- What the client may do with the work: the licence, in plain words
- Stock assets or fonts bought for the project, passed through at cost
Questions
Should I invoice for extra revision rounds?
If they were agreed, yes, on their own line naming the round. Absorbing them teaches the client that rounds are free, and the next project starts from that assumption.
Do source files come with the invoice?
Only if you say so. Whether the client receives editable source or finished artwork is the most common misunderstanding in design work, and the invoice is a good place to settle it in writing.
