Snow Removal Quote Template
Trigger depth, service window, site map and seasonal versus per-push. Free PDF, no sign-up.
Snow work is quoted before anyone knows what the winter will do, which sounds like the opposite of a fixed price — and is not, because what is being sold is a defined service at a defined trigger, not a quantity of snow. The seasonal number is a risk both sides agree to hold; the per-push number is the same service billed by event. A good snow quote prices both and lets the client choose which risk they want.

What this quote commits you to
- How long it stands
- 30 days, and never past the close of the season's route book; a site added after that is priced at the in-season rate.
- What it does not cover
- Ice melt, which is billed per application as applied, hauling snow off site, roof and awning clearing, and damage to unmarked kerbs and sprinkler heads.
- What would change the price
- A single event above the depth the seasonal price is built on, billed per push at the rate stated beside the total rather than inside it.
- How the client accepts it
- Sign and return before the season opens; routes are built from signed contracts in the order they arrive.

When the work is done, invoice it
What to put on a snow removal quote
- The trigger depth at which service begins, in inches
- The service window — how long after snowfall stops the site is clear
- A site map marking plough routes, stacking areas and no-plough zones
- What is included: lots, walkways, entrances, and whether hand work is separate
- Ice melt: per application, per ton, or included, and at what trigger
- Seasonal price and per-push price shown side by side
- Snow stacking limits, and the price of hauling it off site when they are reached
Questions
Seasonal or per-push?
Quote both and let the client pick the risk. Seasonal is a budget certainty they pay a premium for; per-push is cheaper in a mild winter and unbudgeted in a hard one. A contractor who only offers one has kept the choice to themselves.
Why does the quote need a site map?
Because 'plough the lot' is a different job depending on where the snow goes. Marking stacking areas, kerbs, sprinkler heads and the spots that must stay clear is what stops a spring invoice for damage that nobody agreed to.
When does a snow quote have to be accepted by?
Before the season is contracted out. Routes are built from signed agreements, and a client who signs in December is buying a place on a route that was full in October — so the validity date on this quote is a real operational boundary.
About the free quote generator
Is this quote generator really free?
Yes. There is no fee, no trial period and no watermark on the PDF. Nothing on this page requires a credit card.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price you are offering to hold, and it is binding on you once the client accepts it. An estimate is your best projection of the cost and can move if the job does. If the scope is not settled yet, send an estimate instead.
Is a quote legally binding?
Once a client accepts it within the period it stands, a quote generally forms a contract at that price — the details depend on your jurisdiction and on what the document itself says. That is why the price, the scope and the exclusions all belong in writing, and why the document prints the date the offer expires.
How long should a quote be valid until?
Thirty days is the common default, and two weeks is sensible when materials prices are moving. Whatever you choose, state it on the quote: an offer with no expiry is an offer you have made for ever.
Can I raise the price after the client accepts?
Not unilaterally, which is the point of quoting rather than estimating. What you can do is price the variations the client asks for afterwards, provided the quote said what was and was not included.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Fill in the form and download the PDF directly — there is no sign-up and no login for this tool.
Can the client accept the quote online?
Not from a downloaded PDF. Saving the quote to an account gives it a link the client opens and answers on, and the acceptance is recorded against the document rather than living in an email thread.
Can I use this for any currency or country?
Yes. Choose any currency and country for either party — the totals and formatting follow your selection.
