Volume by truck load, labour, tipping fees and recycling. Free PDF, no sign-up.

Junk removal is priced by volume estimated on a driveway and settled at a scale house. Disposal fees are the part the customer never sees and the part that moves most — mattresses, tyres and electronics each carry their own charge, and an invoice that names them explains a price that otherwise looks like guesswork.

What to put on a junk removal invoice

  • The volume removed, as a fraction of a truck load or by the cubic yard
  • Labour, where the load had to be carried any distance or dismantled
  • Disposal or tipping fees, which are a pass-through and vary by material
  • Special-handling items — mattresses, tyres, appliances, electronics — priced individually
  • What was recycled or donated, which many customers care about more than the price
  • The site address, where it differs from the billing address

Questions

Why do disposal fees vary so much?

Because transfer stations charge by material as well as weight. A mattress or a refrigerator carries a fee of its own, and passing those through as named lines is far easier than defending a single number that changed since the quote.

Should I list what was donated?

It costs a line and it is the part customers repeat to their neighbours. It also documents that usable goods left the site rather than went to landfill, which matters for commercial clients with reporting obligations.
