Security Guard Quote Template
Post hours, licensing, post orders, holiday premium and supervision. Free PDF, no sign-up.
Guarding is sold by the post hour, and the post hour is knowable in advance: so many officers, so many hours, at these positions. That is a fixed price built from a roster. What makes one guard quote better than another at the same rate is everything around the hour — the officer's licence level, who supervises them, what the post order says they will actually do, and which nights carry a premium.

What this quote commits you to
- How long it stands
- 30 days at the post hours below, which are priced against the current state wage floor for licensed officers.
- What it does not cover
- Patrol from a marked vehicle, CCTV and alarm monitoring, radios and body-worn cameras, and armed coverage of any post.
- What would change the price
- A change to the post schedule, and hours falling on the named holidays, billed at the premium shown on this quote.
- How the client accepts it
- Sign the post order along with the quote; officers work to the post order, and it is what this price covers.

What to put on a security guard quote
- Post hours per week, broken down by position and shift
- Officer licensing level, and whether armed or unarmed
- The post order the officers work to, attached rather than described
- Supervision: how often a field supervisor visits, and reporting cadence
- Uniform standard and equipment supplied — radios, torches, body cameras
- Holiday premium hours listed by date and rate
- Coverage for absence, so a sick officer is a replacement rather than an empty post
Questions
What actually differs between two guard quotes at the same hourly rate?
The wage underneath it. A bill rate that cannot support a licensed, retained officer buys turnover, and a client comparing rates alone will find that out through a stranger at their gate every fortnight.
Why attach the post order?
Because it is the scope of work for this trade. Patrol frequency, access control procedure, escalation and what an officer must not do all live there, and a price without it is an hourly rate for an undefined activity.
How should holidays be quoted?
As named dates with a stated multiplier. Clients do not think about Thanksgiving in June, and an invoice with unexplained premium hours on it is the fastest way to make a good contract feel dishonest.
